Online course enrolment and team registration are among several major enhancements available for users of Jonas Leisure’s Envibe leisure management software this month.

The enhancements are part of Jonas Leisure’s digital transformation project, which aims to make it possible for leisure centre and swim school customers to self-manage all of their memberships, enrolments, bookings and payments online from any device.

“Our aim is to enable our clients to offer all of their services online,” says Jonas Leisure Development Manager Tom Bourne.

“These new enhancements help to round out Envibe’s already feature-rich online portal and users will see continued improvements in this area throughout 2020 – including a complete look and feel makeover later this year.”

Online course enrolments

An update to the online courses module allows customers to complete the full enrolment process when signing themselves or their children up for course-based leisure programmes such as swim school lessons or tennis academies.

Registration and payment can now be done entirely online for any fixed-term enrolment, with support for continuous (direct debit based) course enrolments and further course functionality due to roll out later this year.

“We’ve taken on board customer feedback and introduced a best-in-class solution that makes the process simple for both users and administrators of swim schools and other fixed-term courses.”

Online team registration

Leisure facilities that run sports leagues will be pleased to know that teams can now register and pay any registration fees online within the teams module.

Team captains can register and pay their league fees online, providing convenience and removing the need for all payments to be processed at a facility’s front desk.

“Previously you could see league ladders and check results online, but you couldn’t register yourself or pay registration fees online. This enhancement makes that possible and moves us towards our goal of empowering customers to manage themselves,” Mr Bourne says.

Online passes

A highly sought-after feature has seen the introduction of the new online passes module, allowing operators to offer ‘Pay As You Go’ style memberships online for the first time.

Operators can now offer multi-use passes for sale online (e.g. 5x Casual Visit Pass, 10x Casual Visit Pass, 20x Casual Visit Pass), allowing them to meet the needs of consumers who are shying away from commitment-based fixed-term contracts in the current environment. Operators can also offer single-use passes to their customers, such as a single-visit pass for casual swimming or a casual entry pass for group fitness classes.

Voucher usage extended online

In the past, vouchers issued using Envibe could only be redeemed in person. The latest enhancements allow customers to redeem vouchers against any online purchase during the online checkout process.

“This will be particularly beneficial for leisure centres and swim schools that issued members and other class participants with vouchers to cover closedown periods aimed at preventing the spread of Covid-19,” Mr Bourne says. “These vouchers can now be redeemed easily online, when participants re-enrol in a new term of swimming lessons or against any other purchase.”

Gantner access control integration

Another enhancement has been improved integration with entrance control systems. Envibe now easily integrates with Gantner access control systems, in addition to those offered by Centaman Entrance Control.

Mr Bourne says this will make upgrading to Envibe even easier for operators that have an existing investment in Gantner access control systems or those looking to stay with a single vendor if they already utilise Gantner systems for locker management.
