We’ve extended the web cart in Envibe’s online customer portal to enable customers at your leisure centre or gym to book multiple group fitness classes in one go, rather than in separate transactions.

Available for users on the latest version of Envibe, released in September, the enhanced Group Fitness module web cart is designed to smooth the online experience for customers and drive increased bookings at your facility.

The customer portal now offers an enhanced group fitness web cart.

The customer portal now offers an enhanced group fitness web cart.

The web cart improvements for group fitness bookings build on a raft of enhancements in August, which boosted the functionality of Envibe’s Group Fitness module with an attendance marking tool, a class-specific registration window and a watch list to notify customers if spaces become available in fully-booked classes.

New trigger message templates to streamline customer communications, plus the ability for customers to use promotional discount codes when making payments via the customer portal, were among the other handy upgrades served up during August.

What’s next for Envibe?

There’s a bonanza of other exciting enhancements due to drop into the Envibe stocking in the lead up to Christmas, including the option for casual customers to purchase admission to your facility via the online customer portal. While booking of group fitness classes is already available in the customer portal, online purchase of one-off casual admissions for leisure and aquatic centres and gyms have not been possible.

The enhancement allows new customers, such as an individual or family visiting a new city, to book online from any device and breeze on through using an electronic ticket on their device to enter your centre. This helps to reduce queues, providing convenience to customers and taking the load off staff at facilities’ front desks.

An improvement is also on the way for Envibe’s Teams module, used by leisure centres to manage leagues and sports competitions. The Teams enhancement will add the ability for league administrators to send an SMS (text) message to a whole team if a team defaults before a match and you want to let the opposing team know the game is called off.

This improvement will make it possible for league administrators to write tailored one-off messages to send it to all the players on the team in one action, rather than spending time sending the same message to each individual player separately.

Another enhancement on the horizon will improve the Courses module that is popular among swim schools by giving users the option to place manual ‘hold’ on enrolments if they wish to do so. This will allow swim school staff to allocate participants to appropriate classes before they or their parents are able to make payment online and complete the registration.

It will help to ensure online enrolments do not place participants into classes beyond or below their ability and will also make it simple for long-term swim school participants to be given a holding spot in their class for the coming term, pending payment.
